A North Little Rock man was arrested Thursday and charged in the shooting death of a man in April.

Braylon Sisk, 33, was arrested in the 1500 block of Chandler Street and charged with capital murder in the shooting of John Gill Jr., 55, according to a North Little Rock police news release. He also faces charges of aggravated assault and possession of firearms by a certain person.

Officers responding to a call about a shooting just after 11 a.m. on April 25 found Gill suffering from several gunshot wounds near 621½ W. 18th St. Emergency personnel transported him to UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, where he was pronounced dead.

North Little Rock detectives investigating the death identified Sisk as a suspect, the news release said.

Sisk is being held without bail at the Pulaski County jail.

There have been three homicides in North Little Rock this year. The first was Senior Airman Shawn McKeough Jr., who was shot on March 15 while attempting to stop a robbery. Gill was the second. Ernest McCoy, who died a few hours after Gill after being shot the day before, was the third.
