The Lightfoot Family Band Concert

CONWAY — The Faulkner County Library, 1900 Tyler St., will present The Lightfoot Family Band in concert at 2 p.m. Josh and Tove Lightfoot, who hail from Oklahoma and Sweden, respectively, bring an authentic, raw energy to roots music from around the world. Author Presentation

CONWAY — The Faulkner County Library, 1900 Tyler St., will host Jennifer Pharr Davis — athlete, author, speaker and National Geographic Adventurer of the Year — at 7 p.m. She will share slides and stories, answer questions and sign copies of her new book, The Pursuit of Endurance: Harnessing the Record-Breaking Power of Strength and Resilience. Master Gardeners in the Teaching Garden

CONWAY — Join the Faulkner County Master Gardeners in the Teaching Garden from 9:30-11:30 a.m. to learn about composting, pests, plant diseases, irrigation and succession planting. The Teaching Garden is at Freyaldenhoven Greenhouses, 1305 E. Siebenmorgen Road.

Small Works on Paper Entries

LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Arts Council is accepting entries for the 2020 Small Works on Paper Exhibition, which showcases artwork no larger than 18-by-24-inches created by members of the Arkansas Arts Council’s online gallery, the Arkansas Artists Registry. Membership to the registry is free. The entry deadline is July 26. An out-of-state juror will select up to 40 pieces to tour in the exhibit. Up to $2,000 is available for juror-selected purchase awards, with the award-winning art becoming part of the Small Works on Paper permanent collection. Artists can submit up to three pieces. Downtown Conway Farmers’ and Crafts Market

CONWAY — The Downtown Conway Farmers’ and Crafts Market, 718 Parkway St., is open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through October, also on Tuesdays and Thursdays, June through September, when products are available. All items sold are grown or created by local vendors, including produce, honey, meats, eggs, jams and jellies, baked goods, handmade crafts and more. Spring Into Art Exhibit

CLINTON — Sponsored by the North Central Arkansas Artist League, Spring Into Art, an exhibit with 50 paintings by 10 area artists, will hang until July 18 at Ozark Health Medical Center on U.S. 65. The public is invited to view the exhibit, both upstairs by the cafeteria and downstairs in the outpatient wing, during regular hospital hours. Faulkner County Tea Party Luncheons

Painting Class

FAIRFIELD BAY — Jim Tindall’s painting class will meet with a new subject from 10 a.m. to noon every Tuesday at the Fairfield Bay Community Education Center, 130 Village Lane, Suite 5E. RUSSELLVILLE — Neighbor’s Table is a free meal from noon to 1 p.m. every Saturday at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 501 S. Phoenix Ave. The doors open at 11:30 a.m. with free coffee. All are welcome to attend. Neighbor’s Table also sends home sack lunches with guests. Humane Society Benefit Bingo

GREENBRIER — Bingo, sponsored by the Humane Society of Faulkner County, is played every third Friday at the Melton Cotton City Event Center, 5 Lois Lane. HEBER SPRINGS — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association will have a potluck luncheon and meeting at 11:30 a.m. June 21 in the First Electric Cooperative Community Room, 150 Industrial Park Road. Vollman Cemetery Fundraiser

BIGELOW — The Vollman Cemetery will have its annual fundraiser June 22 in the Bigelow Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Fish dinners with all the trimmings, prepared by the Oaks family, will be served at 5 p.m., with an auction to follow with Harold Henderson as master of ceremonies. Plates will be $10 each for adults and $5 for children younger than 12. Attendees are asked to bring items to be auctioned off to support the upkeep of the cemetery. Lego Robotics Camp

MORRILTON — A Lego Robotics Camp, designed for kids in third through eighth grades who want to build and program EV3 Mindstorm Robots, will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 22-25 in the portable buildings on the Sacred Heart School campus. The $65 registration fee includes a camp T-shirt and a daily snack. On July 25, each team will compete in a Tournament of Champions.
