Competitors vie for Miss Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen

LITTLE ROCK — Several young women with ties to the River Valley & Ozark Edition coverage area will compete in the annual Miss Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen Pageant today through Friday. The pageant will take place in conjunction with the Miss Arkansas Pageant at the Robinson Center Performance Hall in Little Rock.

Pageant preliminaries will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. The Miss Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen finals will be at 7 p.m. Friday.

Local contestants include the following:

• Miss Conway’s Outstanding Teen — Riley Ann Strube of Cabot, that daughter of Dustin and Andrea Strube, will present a tap dance to “Sing, Sing, Sing” for her talent. Her platform is “Ready, Set, Serve.”

A student at Cabot High School, she will compete in interview on Monday, lifestyle and physical fitness on Tuesday, evening wear and onstage question on Wednesday, and talent on Thursday.

• Miss Diamond Lakes’ Outstanding Teen — Mattison Gafner of Vilonia, the daughter of Steven and Tracy Gafner, will present a vocal/ piano rendition of “If I Ain’t Got You” for her talent. Her platform is “Be Smart: Practice Online Safety and Security.”

A student at Vilonia High School, she will compete in interview on Monday, lifestyle and physical fitness on Tuesday, evening wear and onstage question on Wednesday, and talent on Thursday.

• Miss Lights of the Delta’s Outstanding Teen — Anna Beth Jeane of Greenbrier, the daughter of Chad and Tracy Jeane, will present a vocal rendition of “Popular” for her talent. Her platform is “Raising Readers.”

A student at Greenbrier High School, she will compete in interview today, evening wear and onstage question on Tuesday, talent on Wednesday, and lifestyle and physical fitness on Thursday.

• Miss Spirit of Arkansas’ Outstanding Teen — Brooke Bradford of Shirley, the daughter of Wayne and Lacy Bradford, will present a ventriloquist performance of “Anything You Can Do” for her talent. Her platform is “Plant the Seeds.”

A student at Clinton High School, she will compete in interview on Monday, lifestyle and physical fitness on Tuesday, evening wear and onstage question on Wednesday, and talent on Thursday.
