Ashley Ann Grimsley - David George Padron

Ashley Ann Grimsley and David George Padron were united in marriage Friday, June 7, at Red Agave Resort in Sedona, Ariz. Maureen Donnelly officiated.

Jan and Doug Grimsley of Little Rock are the parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Ann and Fred Casavechia and the late Doris and Harold Grimsley, all also of Little Rock.

The groom is the son of Carol Padron of Apache Junction, Ariz., and George Padron of Yuma, Ariz. He is the grandson of the late Carmen and Arcadio Padron, also of Yuma, and Margaret and the late Kenneth Kildal of Fosston, Minn.

The outdoor ceremony was decorated with birch boxes filled with silver dollar eucalyptus, orange tiger lilies, blue thistle, sage brunia and orange safflower.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a mermaid-style tulle gown embellished with Alencon lace, sequins and seed pearls. She also wore her mother's cathedral-length wedding veil edged in lace and carried a hand-tied bouquet of tiger lilies, succulents, orange gerbera daisies, blue thistle and sage brunia.

Amanda Baker of Little Rock was her sister's matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Katie Wirges, Meredith Wewers and Jessica Lunsford, all of Little Rock; Abigail Hallet of Prairie Grove; Cassie Kordsmeier of Tampa, Fla.; Hannah Loyd of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., cousin of the bride; Melissa Vance of Alexander; and Haley Nelson of Mesa, Ariz. They wore teal dresses in the style of their choice with brown cowboy boots and carried orange tiger lilies.

Flower girls were Zoey Baker of Little Rock, niece of the bride, and Emma Bridges of Prairie Grove. Ring bearers were Noah Padron of Mesa, nephew of the groom, and Ryan Baker, nephew of the bride, and Lincoln Wirges, both of Little Rock.

Best man was Nathan Padron of Mesa, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Christian Sollars of Pierre, S.D.; Justin Zahn of Yuma; Steve Cvetanovich of Scottsdale, Ariz.; Matthew Holden of Fayetteville; and Jack Henry Baker of Little Rock, nephew of the bride.

After the ceremony, a tented Southwestern-style reception was held at the resort. Tables, with dark teal table runners, were decorated with cholla skeletons, succulents and cacti in glass vases. Floral arrangements included orange alstroemeria and kalanchoes with eucalyptus and sea grass in gold buckets.

The bride has bachelor's and master's degrees in biology from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and is a senior wildlife biologist at the Arizona Game and Fish Department.

The groom has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Arizona State University. He is an engineer and sourcing manager at BS Sand.

After a honeymoon in Sedona, the couple will live in Tempe, Ariz. They plan a delayed wedding trip to Europe.
