Scott Plantation Settlement benefit to help save more historic buildings

The Ashley-Alexander House -- built in 1835 in Scott -- was the setting for Scott Connection's Annual Spring Dinner on June 2.

The dinner -- benefiting the Scott Plantation Settlement -- was held on the grounds of the antebellum home owned by Bitsy Davis, and began with cocktails and a silent auction.

Dinner was catered by Woods Place of Camden and guests dined at round tables covered in navy tablecloths and centered with a variety of arrangements including candelabra, large vases of greenery, magnolia and green apples.

Scott Connections is a nonprofit that supports the Scott Settlement which has preserved historic buildings and items from the Scott area.
