YOU SHOULD BE DANCING

Rhythm & Soles puts Untapped on stage

Toes were tapping March 8 at Rhythm & Soles, a benefit for the dance company Untapped. But first, there was a reception with drinks and desserts and a chance for guests to mingle with the dancers. This is the fifth year for the benefit, which was held at Cranford Co.

Guests couldn't miss the entrance to the event in the downtown Creative Corridor. They just followed the music and sounds of tap by Michael Roberson, who danced outside as guests arrived. After the reception, which included a raffle and silent auction, guests were treated to entertainment in Cranford's studio space. Performers included Untapped's company dancers and the Youth Ensemble.

Untapped is a nonprofit tap dance company that cultivates awareness and appreciation for the art of tap dancing through performances and workshops. Matt Boyce is founder of the dance company and serves as its artistic director.
