Shiloh Christian 6, Fayette Academy 3

The Saints carried a shutout into the seventh inning, but had to hold on late to earn the win Wednesday.

Marcus Brown had a huge performance both at the plate and on the hill. Brown was 3-for-5 with 2 doubles and 2 RBIs for the Saints. On the mound, Brown allowed just 5 hits over 6 innings and struck out 11. Ben Baker, Walker Williams, Sawyer Duddleston, Drew Dudley and Jaiden Henry all had multiple hits and Dudley doubled and had 2 RBIs.

Rogers High 3, Father Ryan, Tenn. 0

Marc Sussman tossed a two-hitter to help the Mounties snap a two-game skid at the Best of the West tournament in Memphis.

Rogers (5-3) scored a run in each of the first three innings and that was plenty for Sussman. He struck out six and did not walk a batter in pitching the complete-game shutout.

McKaden Templeton had two hits, while Sal Jacobo, Jay Watson and Hayden Seldomridge each drove in a run.

Greenwood 8, Valor Christian, Colo. 5

The Bulldogs used a seven-run fifth inning to wipe out an early deficit and rally past Valor Christian (Colo.) on Wednesday in the Coach Bob Invitational in Glendale, Ariz.

River Baker, Timothy Earnhart and Preston Jurecka had two hits each to lead Greenwood (7-4). Baker drove in two runs in the big fifth inning as the Bulldogs rallied from a 4-0 deficit.

Peyton Holt pitched three scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win. He allowed one hit, struck out and five walked three.

Fayetteville 7, Cherry Creek, Colo. 3

Jeff Sinacore had three hits Wednesday to lead Fayetteville past Cherry Creek in the Coach Bob Invitational in Glendale, Ariz.

Hank Gibbs struck out eight in six innings to earn the victory for Fayetteville.

Huntsville 9, Kennedy Catholic 9

The Eagles wrapped up their spring break tournament with a tie against Kennedy Catholic on Wednesday.

The game featured 25 combined hits.

Tyler Buchanan was 3-for-4 with a home run and 3 RBIs to pace Huntsville (8-2-1). Sean McCone had a double and triple. Tad Jones and Darius Savarro each had two hits.

The Eagles will return to 4A-1 Conference action on Monday at Lincoln.

Quartz Hill, Calif. 7, Bentonville West 6

West had the tying run on second base but couldn't complete its comeback Wednesday as the Wolverines dropped their third game in the Coach Bob Invitational in Glendale, Ariz.

West (5-5) trailed 5-2 after four innings but pulled within 5-4 in the top of the sixth before Quartz Hill scored twice in the bottom half of the inning.

Joey Aden had two hits and scored three times for West while Seth Schonauer had two hits and drove in a pair of runs. Dylan Carter suffered the loss as pitched five innings and allowed five runs on six hits, while Kendal Thornton gave up two runs in his inning of work.

West is scheduled for another game today before heading home.

Charleston 5, Pea Ridge 4

The Tigers jumped to a 4-0 lead and held on late to edge Pea Ridge in the Jarren Sorters Memorial Tournament on Wednesday.

Brett Ward surrendered 11 hits but earned the complete-game win.

Dean Lee was 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs, and Kaden Benge also doubled for Charleston.

Brayden Ralph was 4-for-4 with a double and 2 RBIs for the Blackhawks, and Tate Bussey was 2-for-4 with a double and 2 RBIs.

Jones 10, Gravette 3

The Lions rallied from an early hole, but Jones put the game out of reach by scoring 7 runs over the final three innings.

Jones held Gravette to just 3 hits -- all singles -- but Brodie Parsons drove in 2 runs for the Lions.

Springdale Har-Ber 5, Brentwood Academy 3

Har-Ber fell behind early but seized control with three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to top Brentwood Academy in tournament action in Gulf Shores, Ala., on Wednesday.

Blaise Wittschen and Cooper Dossett combined on a six-hitter and eight strikeouts for Har-Ber (10-3).

Blake Adams launched a three-run home run to pace the Wildcats, and Landon McAlister added a double.

Har-Ber went 4-0 on its spring break trip. The Wildcats will return to 6A-West Conference action against Rogers Heritage on Tuesday at Arvest Ballpark.

Van Buren 7, Pocahontas 2

The Pointers grabbed the early lead and never surrendered it in a nonconference win Wednesday.

Tanner Callahan was 3-for-3 with a double for Van Buren. Trevor Johnson was 3-for-4 with a double and 2 RBIs.

Connor Johnson dominated on the hill for Van Buren with a perfect 4 innings with five strikeouts.

Brighton 6, Van Buren 2

The Pointers committed three errors in a loss late Wednesday.

Trevor Johnson was 2-for-4 with a double for the Pointers. Jackson Hurst was 2-for-3.

Johnson started for Van Buren (7-4) and went 4 innings and allowed five hits and four earned runs with eight strikeouts.

The Pointers will take on Magnolia Heights at 4 p.m. today.

Shiloh Christian 2, St. Georges 1

Walker Williams pitched a two-hitter and the Saints finally broke through for a pair of late runs in the Lewis Harris Invitational in Memphis late Tuesday.

St. George's led 1-0 for most of the game until the Saints' Marcus Brown reached on an error to start the sixth inning. Williams crushed a double to score Brown, and Lafferty, who was a courtesy runner for Williams, scored on a groundout for a 2-1 lead.

Williams went the distance for Shiloh Christian and struck out eight.

Mena 10, Gravette 2

The Bearcats scored all the runs they needed in the first two innings in the Jarren Sorters Memorial Tournament in Prairie Grove on Tuesday.

Mena scored 8 runs in the first and second innings and limited Gravette to just 6 hits.

Keegan Bulza and Mason Dagley each doubled for the Lions.

Junction City 7, Gravette 0

Kellan Hodge allowed just 6 hits and struck out 9 in a complete-game shutout Tuesday.

For Gravette, Hunter Cole was 2-for-3 and Brodie Parsons hit a double.

Jones 8, Prairie Grove 3

A 6-run fifth inning broke open a close game for Jones in the Jarren Sorters Memorial Tournament on Tuesday.

Jones led 2-1 at the time. The Tigers added two seventh-inning runs.

Kaine Caswell was 2-for-3 with a double for Prairie Grove and Garrett Heltemes added a triple.

PREP SOFTBALL

Blair Academy 7, Fort Smith Northside 0

Blair Academy scored all of its runs late at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida.

The game was tied 0-0 until the top of the fourth inning when Blair scored three runs.

Northside managed just five hits with Jenna Wilson leading the way with a double.
