Chef Robert Irvine in Restaurant Impossible on Food Network

Fans of Food Network who are also fans of Chef Robert Irvine should be pleased that he is back with a new version of the popular series Restaurant Impossible. It's airing at 8 p.m. Saturdays on Food Network.

The premise of the show is that Irvine works with the staff and owners of a failing restaurant to revamp and revitalize the establishment in two days with only $10,000. Hence the word impossible in the title. There's a little MacGyver and a lot of muscle used to try and rescue these places from complete collapse. And by golly, he always gets it done.

According to a news release, the network recently announced it has fast tracked new episodes of Restaurant Impossible that will premiere later this summer. Production on the episodes begins this month with stops planned around the country.

According to Courtney White, president of Food Network, "Desperate restaurant owners continue to seek guidance from Robert Irvine and his team to help fix their restaurant's most anemic areas and get on a path to profitability. Robert's tough love approach and genuine care and concern for these restaurant owners resonates strongly with our audience and we cannot wait to give viewers more of what they love about Robert, with his commitment and dedication in helping people turn around their lives."
