The chance of rain didn't dampen the spirits of hundreds of art lovers who flocked May 3 to the River Market Pavilion to get a first-hand look at the entries in this year's Sculpture at the River Market Fine Art Sculpture Show and Sale.

Guests who entered the preview party were given the opportunity to vote on their favorite prototype designed by seven artists. The next day, Theresa Dyer of Nashville, Tenn., was named the winner. Her sculpture, Little Rock, features two children looking skyward and will be placed at the southeast corner of City Hall grounds. Dyer will receive a $60,000 commission for her work.

Guests also had the opportunity to admire -- and buy -- art from artists who participated in the sale.
