Guests at CARE's 12th annual Paws on the Runway couldn't resist petting the four-legged stars of the show May 2.
The event -- Fashion Unleashed -- showcased about two dozen dogs who walked the runway with their human companions. Some of the dogs are still available for adoption through CARE for Animals.
Betsy Singleton Snyder chaired the event. Amanda Jaeger, Laura Monteverdi and Mariel Ruiz -- all of KTHV -- served as masters of ceremonies.
The evening began with a silent auction and passed hors d'oeuvres followed by the "canine and human" style show and a live auction.
CARE's mission is to rescue and find homes for cats and dogs facing euthanasia in shelters and providing low-cost spay and neuter assistance.
