Robbers take Little Rock man's phone, demand unlock code, police say

A pair of robbers took a man's phone after holding him at gunpoint at a Little Rock apartment and then later messaged him for his security code, authorities said.

Police said the robbery happened around 6 p.m. on Monday when the 26-year-old victim went to sell his phone at apartments in the 9600 block of West 36th Street.

The victim handed it to one of two people in the apartment to show it worked, and one of the people pointed a gun at him and said: “Really, it’s took, bro,” according to the police report.

After reporting the phone as stolen to his carrier, police said the man said he got a message from one of the robbers asking for his security code and saying that they had the victim’s vehicle tags.

Authorities made no arrests at the time of the report.
