Benton man held in attempted rape

A Benton man was arrested Saturday after witnesses said he attempted to rape a woman at a country club in Little Rock, according to an arrest report.

When Little Rock police officers arrived at 1 Pleasant Valley Drive, the cleaning crew of Pleasant Valley Country Club was restraining 23-year-old Brady Michael Baldridge, the report said.

Officers said the woman's injuries were consistent with her account of an attempted sexual assault.

Baldridge was being held without bail in the Pulaski County jail Saturday evening.

He faces charges of criminal attempted rape, commercial burglary and third-degree battery, according to the jail roster.

Struggle in closet leads to an arrest

When officers arrived to investigate a reported burglary Saturday morning, they found a Bryant man in a closet fighting with the apartment's resident, an arrest report said.

Little Rock police officers used a Taser to subdue Braylen Reyjon Jackson, 19, who had broken into an apartment near 1601 N. Shackleford Road, the report said.

When officers arrived, he switched from struggling with the woman who lived there to fighting the policemen, the report said.

Jackson was being held without bail in the Pulaski County jail Saturday evening.

He faces charges of burglary, obstructing government operations and resisting arrest, according to the jail's roster.
