Man, 33, fatally shot in Pine Bluff as city records 14th homicide of year

Police are investigating after a 33-year-old man was fatally shot in Pine Bluff early Tuesday, authorities said.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired around 12:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of South Maple Street and found Alton Randall Jr. suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a news release by the Pine Bluff Police Department. Randall died at the scene.

Authorities said the investigation is still in its early stages. A reward of up to $10,000 was offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction in the shooting.

Randall’s death marks the 14th homicide of 2019 for Pine Bluff, according to police.
