An ensemble of central Arkansas musicians celebrates singer-songwriter and Arkansas native Lucinda Williams with "A Rowdy Review ... The 24th season of the Hot Springs Music Festival kicks off Sunday with an "Opening Fanfare," 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Arlington Hotel, 239 Central Ave., Hot Springs, with daily 7 p.m. concerts in various venues around the Spa City and daily open rehearsals through June 15. 6 WET RACE

The wettest, cleanest race around takes over downtown Hot Springs as the Stueart Pennington World Championship Running of the Tubs returns, 9 a.m. Saturday. The race features costumed teams racing wheeled tubs along Bathhouse Row, following a detailed list of rules all while being pelted with water balloons and doused with super soakers. The inaugural Women Make Arkansas Market, 6-9 p.m. today at the Bernice Garden, 1401 Main St., celebrates the debut of the book Women Make Arkansas: Conversations With 50 Creatives by Erin Wood and the creations of the women featured in the book. "New Views of the Universe: Hubble Space Telescope" goes on display with a reception, 6-8 p.m. Friday, in the second-floor gallery of the William F. Laman Public Library, 2801 Orange St., North Little Rock. The 2,200-square-foot interactive exhibit contains images and data taken by Hubble of planets, galaxies, regions around black holes and other cosmic entities. Project engineer Maurice Henderson will discuss his work with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Science on a Sphere visualization platform. The exhibition remains up through Aug. 31. Library hours are 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
