Matt Bell was the host chef on Oct. 21 for a No Kid Hungry Dinner at South on Main.
In an effort to help end childhood hunger, Bell joined six other guest chefs in creating a multi-course meal for guests. They were Nicole Craig with CO-OP in Bentonville; Kamiya Merrick from @ the Corner, Capi Peck of Trio's Restaurant; and Amanda Ivy of Low Ivy Catering and Food Truck, all of Little Rock; Rebecca Masson with Fluff Bake Bar in Houston; and Leighann Smith with Piece of Meat in New Orleans.
On the menu was chicken liver toast with smoked duck and Louisiana pepper jelly; arugula with goat cheese mousse, roasted beets and a champagne vinaigrette; miso butter-poached shrimp with fall maque choux and crispy parsnip; a deconstructed shepherd's pie with a mushroom bordelaise sauce and key lime pie with tonka bean meringue.
