NLR to have no Election Day polling

by ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT-GAZETTE | November 3, 2019 at 1:44 a.m.

Dorothy "Dot" Williams is running unopposed for reelection to the Zone 1 seat in the North Little Rock School District.

Williams, 75, is a retired teacher and administrator in the district. She has been on the North Little Rock board since 2006 and drew no opposition in her bid for a new three-year term.

No one filed for the School Board's Zone 4 seat, not even Taniesha Richardson-Wiley, who currently holds it.

School board members do not receive pay.

Because there is no contested race and no change proposed in the 48.3-mill property-tax rate, no polling places will be open in North Little Rock on Election Day. All voting must be done through early and absentee voting.

The last day for early voting is Monday at the Pulaski County Regional Building, 501 W. Markham St. in Little Rock.
