J.B. Hunt earns environmental award

J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. recently received the SmartWay Excellence Award from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the 10th consecutive year. The company was also named a 2019 SmartWay High Performer by the agency.

J.B. Hunt was one of 55 truck and multimodal carriers to earn the distinction, representing the best environmental performers of SmartWay's 3,700 participants. Only five companies, including J.B. Hunt, have received the SmartWay Excellence Award 10 times.

Nursing agency wins best employer award

TRS Healthcare, a travel nursing agency based in Springdale, was recently recognized as one of the best employers in the state by Best Places to Work in Arkansas, a program created by Arkansas Business and Best Companies Group.

The Best Places to Work in Arkansas survey and awards program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in the state while benefiting the state's economy, workforce and businesses.

Best Companies Group is a global research firm.

Hospital receives accreditation

Northwest Health Physicians' Specialty Hospital has earned the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for Hospital Accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards.

The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a health care organization's commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.

To achieve this distinction, a team from the commission evaluated the hospital based on the following criteria: compliance with hospital standards, leadership, medication management and rights and responsibilities of the individual.
