It has been a long time coming.
The once-retired Thinking Chair is coming back out and viewers follow the paw prints as Blue and her gang of friends return in the new preschool series Blue's Clues & You. It debuts at 8 a.m. Monday on Nickelodeon. Steve (Steve Burns) and Joe ( Donovan Patton) will reprise their roles in the premiere, "Meet Josh!" They'll help new host Joshua Dela Cruz as he and the audience solve their first game of Blue's Clues.
The series will feature new elements alongside refreshed iconic favorites. There will be:
• New CG animation for the dogs Blue and Magenta
• An updated Handy Dandy Notebook that has a new blue crayon and smartphone technology allowing Josh and Blue to receive emails and video calls
• An all-new Handy Dandy Guitar
• The return of fan-favorite characters Tickety Tock, Slippery Soap, Shovel, Pail, Mr. Salt, Mrs. Pepper, Cinnamon, Paprika, Felt Friends, Sidetable Drawer and Mailbox, plus an original Thinking Chair.
• The introduction of Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper's newest additions -- twins Sage and Ginger
The original Blue's Clues series began in September 1996. It was favored for its unique interactivity and raised the bar in preschool television by exploring advanced subject matter such as sign language, geography, physics, emotions and anatomy.
And theme song can easily get stuck in your head.
