Christmas is a-comin’ to communities throughout the Three Rivers Edition readership area. Parades are among the many planned activities.
Beebe’s annual parade is set for 5 p.m. Dec. 14, and organizers are seeking items for the Beebe Angel Tree program instead of entrance fees for participants.
“We’ve partnered with the Angel Tree program in various ways in the past, but this year, we decided that in lieu of the $10 entry fee, we would ask for donations to the Angel Tree Program,” said Camille Stout, chamber president. “Last year, we had 100-plus floats and are hoping to exceed that this year.
“Plus, we have a new parade route this year. We are focusing more on the business sector of town. The parade will leave Beebe High School, travel down Dewitt Henry Drive and end near the Arkansas State University-Beebe campus.”
The theme for the parade is A Hollywood-Movies Christmas. Christmas in the Park will follow the parade at 7 p.m. in Daniel Park.
