VAN BUREN — Hank Gibbs led Fayetteville (3-3, 2-1 7A-West) on seven first-half touchdown drives to pull away from Van Buren (3-3, 1-2) at Blakemore Field.

It was Fayetteville Coach Casey Dick’s first game in Van Buren after coaching the Pointers last season.

Gibbs, who did not play in the second half, completed 13 of 15 passes for 301 yards and 6 touchdowns. Isaiah Sategna finished with 5 receptions for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Luke Charboneau had two catches for 103 yards and a touchdown, while Connor Flannigan caught three touchdown passes.

Fayetteville led 46-3 at halftime.

The Pointers were led by senior running back Brayden Rivas, who rushed for 138 yards on 13 carries.
