The pope--yes, that one--tweeted out something Sunday morning that has all the sports world talking.

Yes, the pope tweets. Yes, it's a sports story.

Pope Francis said something about thanking the Lord for "our new #Saints." But somehow the Twitter account linked the matter to the professional football team in New Orleans.

We should note that the Saints--that is, the football team--won Sunday, beating the Jacksonville Jaguars in Florida, with a back-up quarterback and a stumbling offense.

We're not saying. We're just saying. It helps to have friends in the highest of places.
