IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE FALL

Autumnal dinner funds Governor's Mansion care

It definitely looked like fall on the Governor's Mansion grounds Oct. 8, with arrangements of pumpkins, fall leaves, sunflowers and chrysanthemums -- but just as important -- it actually felt like fall as guests gathered on the crisp cool evening for Brats, Burgers and Bluegrass.

The bluegrass band Living Grace entertained as guests bid on silent auction items before dinner. A large wooden wagon decorated with bales of hay, pumpkins and fall flowers held large tubs of drinks including Arkansas-made Grapette.

Hosted by the Governor's Mansion Association, the dinner included grilled sausages and hamburgers with walnut brownies and banana pudding for dessert. Tammy Browning served as event chairwoman. Money raised from the event by the association, go toward restoration and preservation of the mansion.
