Stratton House in Collierville, Tenn., was the setting at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, for the marriage of Hailey Ashlyn Hickerson and John Harper Thomas. Mark Benton of Jackson Christian School and Campbell Street Church of Christ, Jackson, Tenn., was the officiant.

The bride is the daughter of Lisa and Danny Hickerson of Dyersburg, Tenn. Her grandparents are Sandra Kay Jones, also of Dyersburg, the late Lloyd Hickerson, the late Sybil Moore and the late Charles Moore Jr.

Parents of the groom are Johnna Goggans Novak and Kirkley Allen Thomas, both of Little Rock. His grandparents are Onita and Eddie Thomas of Jonesboro, John Goggans of Star City and the late Beverly Goggans.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless tulle gown embellished with beaded floral lace appliques. The skirt extended from a cummerbund at the natural waist to a chapel-length train. She carried a loose arrangement of roses, daisies and foliage.

Tatum Moore Howell of Arlington, Tenn., cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Lauren Beasley of Austin; Hannah Brashear and Lenae Haley, both of Little Rock; Erin Smith of Memphis; Tassie Murphree of New York; Maddie Reed of Sheridan; and Amelia Lewis of Searcy. They wore Denmark-blue chiffon gowns by Jenny Yoo in various styles and carried bouquets similar to the bride's.

Best man was Colby Richburg of Austin, Texas. Groomsmen were Ben Brauss of Fort Wayne, Ind.; Luke Van Dover of Little Rock; Miles Humphreys of Jackson; Grant Guest and Jackson Ward, both of Memphis; Brooks Pitaniello of Lubbock, Texas; and Houston Hickerson of Dyersburg, brother of the bride. Guests were seated by Brendan Perrett of Highland, Mich., and Connor Kelly of Ada, Mich. Ring bearer was Easton Moore of Jackson.

A tented reception on the grounds of Stratton House followed the ceremony. Farm tables and round guest tables were decorated with arrangements of wedding flowers, soft green pumpkins, lanterns and candles.

The bride is a magna cum laude graduate of Harding University with a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders. She is studying for a master's degree in communication disorders from Arkansas State University with plans to graduate in December. She is a student clinician at Pediatrics Plus.

The groom is a summa cum laude graduate of Harding with bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration. He was named 2018 Harding University College of Business Student of the Year and a four-year baseball letterman, three-time Academic All-Conference selection and named to the 2019 First Team Academic All-Region. He is a business development project manager for the Arkansas Economic Development Commission.

The couple will live in Little Rock and plan a wedding trip to Barbados later this year.
