Angel Lopez-Candales, M.D., has joined the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as director of its Cardiac Noninvasive Laboratory.

Clare Brown, Ph.D. M.P.H., an assistant professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences was recently named a fellow at the Institute for Medicaid Innovation.

Psychiatrist Hunter Gibbs, M.D., has joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences as medical director of adult inpatient units at the Psychiatric Research Institute.

Erika Petersen, M.D., a neurosurgeon and researcher at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, has been named the lead investigator for a national clinical trial exploring a treatment for a chronic diabetic foot condition.

Jennifer L. Hunt, M.D., chair of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Services in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, has been chosen to receive the 2019 Emerging Leader Award from the American Association of Medical Colleges Group on Women in Medicine and Science Division.
