The Arkansas Women's Hall of Fame induction ceremony was held Aug. 29 at the Statehouse Convention Center. This is the fifth year for the event that honors Arkansas women who have made a difference in the lives of others, elevated the status of women and made a historic impact on the state.

Before the ceremony, honorees were invited to a private reception in the rotunda of the convention center where there is a permanent multimedia exhibit of all the honorees.

This year's honorees were Alice Andrews, Olivia Meyers Farrell, Jo Luck, Charlotte Tillar Schexnayder, Carolyn Witherspoon. Historical honorees were Diane Divers Blair and Louise McPhetridge Thaden. Alpha Kappa Alpha's Beta Pi Omega Chapter was honored for its community service.
