First Presbyterian Church in Eureka Springs, 209 Spring St., will host the annual Blessing of the Animals service at 11 a.m. Sept. 29.

Washington County

Caudle Avenue Baptist Church in Springdale, 404 Caudle Ave., invites the public to a free community meal and live concert at 5 p.m. today. Come enjoy a dinner of grilled chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, roll, dessert and a drink and listen to Marty and Patti Elmore from West Plains, Mo., in concert.

The Elmores will also be presenting music in the 10:45 a.m. service Sunday, and the community is invited to attend.

Benton County

Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., presents a new sermon series, "Jesus Christ: The Perfect Savior," now through Nov. 24.

The BVCC Foundation is sponsoring the church picnic in McKay Hall at 4 p.m. Oct. 6. Please call the church office to indicate your choice of burger or brat by Sept. 29.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., hosts the annual potluck dinner at 4:30 p.m. Sunday. All are welcome to join in for good food, fun and music.

There will be several presentations on topics such as scams targeting seniors, identity theft, Medicare fraud and DNA testing, online purchasing safety, and reverse mortgages. The funds raised by Bingo Night help support the church's distribution of health and personal care items through its Essentials Outreach Ministry.

St. Bernard Catholic Church in Bella Vista, 1 St. Bernard Lane, through its Knights of Columbus Council 9514, is sponsoring a bus trip to the performance of "Miracle of Christmas" at the Sight and Sound Theatre in Branson. This trip will be Nov. 16 for the 11:30 a.m. performance and will be a fundraiser for the Knights of Columbus.

The cost of the trip is $79 per person and will include bus transportation and reserved seating at the show. The bus will start loading at 8 a.m. and leave at 8:30 a.m. from the parking lot at St. Bernard Catholic Church.

United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista, 100 Cooper Road, presents a healing service at 2 p.m. Sunday. A healing service is a service held for the sole purpose of ministering to, and praying with and for, individual persons who desire healing in body, mind and spirit for themselves or others. All are welcome.

The Psalm 19 Astronomy Club meets at 6:30 p.m. Sunday and will view Jupiter and Saturn around 7:30 p.m. The event is free, and everyone is invited.

Bible Study at 6 p.m. Sept. 25 will focus on the book Honoring Our Neighbor's Faith: A Lutheran Perspective on Faith Traditions in America by Robert Buckley Farlee. Bring a dish to share.
