A state regulatory board will delay until January considering an appeal of rule violations against a north Arkansas medical-marijuana dispensary.
The Alcoholic Beverage Control Board was set to consider the appeal from Fiddler's Green of Mountain View at its meeting that was scheduled for 9 a.m. today. The agency has charged the firm with eight violations, including failure to properly label medical cannabis and keep harvested cannabis in a secured safe.
Scott Hardin, spokesman for the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration, said Tuesday evening that the decision to extend the appeal was made by the agency's attorneys along with attorneys for the dispensary.
The facility is set to be fined $4,085 and be put on probation for 120 days, but it is allowed to keep its license and continue operating as normal.
The business's appeal will mark only the second time a medical-marijuana company in Arkansas has appealed violations to the agency's board.
