First Presbyterian Church in Springdale, 100 S. Gutensohn Road, hosts its Student Discipleship group's participation in the Souper Bowl National Initiative to fight hunger on Sunday. Students will collect donations of food and cash in soup pots following worship to benefit Christians United Pantry.

First Presbyterian will host a Senior Adult Valentine's Day Banquet at noon Feb. 14 in Fellowship Hall.

The Pillars Life Group will begin a study of Tiny Beautiful Things: Advice on Love and Life from Dear Sugar by Cheryl Strayed. The group will hold its first meeting from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Tontitown Winery.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., is starting a New Member Class this Sunday at 9:45 a.m. with Pastor Paul Hass. This is an informational class, and it is also a refresher class for all members.

The quilters meet at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 12.

Village Bible Church in Bella Vista, 1591 Forest Hills Blvd., opens the Oasis Food Pantry from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 5. This ministry is available to anyone in the area who needs help with groceries and would appreciate the compassion and encouragement of friendly volunteers. At 6:30 p.m., there will be singing, devotions and prayer in the Worship Center. Infant and toddler nursery for kids is offered as well, and the community is always warmly welcomed.

American Legion Siloam Post 29 will host a Four Chaplains Memorial Service at 2 p.m. Sunday at 2909 Cheri Whitlock Drive in Siloam Springs.

The Four Chaplains Memorial Service is dedicated to the memory of four brave military chaplains that lost their lives while serving on the troop transport ship USS Dorchester during World War II. The ship was torpedoed by a Nazi submarine off the coast of Greenland on Feb. 3, 1943.
