Richardson to appear at Corning banquet
Basketball Hall of Famer and former University of Arkansas men's basketball coach Nolan Richardson will be the special guest at the second Corning Pride Booster Club banquet April 4 in Corning.
Richardson, who coached the Razorbacks from 1985-2002, led Arkansas to its only national championship in 1994. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2014.
The banquet will be held at MB Ainley Jr. Community Center at 536 Elm St. in Corning. Tickets are $20. A table of eight is $200, while a sponsored reserved table of eight is $300.
Dinner will start at 5 p.m., with door prizes at 5:45 p.m., then Richardson's speech at 6 p.m. A question-and-answer session with Richardson is scheduled, and he will be available for photo opportunities.
