WHERE THE BOYS ARE

Mother-son dance benefits nonprofit

A gaggle of boys took over the Museum of Discovery on Feb. 9 for Night at the Museum, a fundraiser for the Gladney Center for Adoption in Fort Worth.

The mom-and-son-only late afternoon event is the brainchild of Sarah Priebe and Maggie Young, who once again co-chaired the event. Both women and their husbands adopted children through the Gladney Center.

When they were thinking of ways to raise money for the Gladney Center, Priebe and Young realized there were plenty of father-daughter dances and mother-daughter teas but not much for mothers and sons. The event is open to all mothers and sons -- not just adoptive parents.

All profits will be donated to the Gladney Center.
