An actor chosen as that night's drinker consumes a beer or glass of wine and continues to imbibe throughout the performance of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, leaving the rest of the cast to try and keep the script on track in A Midsummer Night's Drink, 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday at the Studio Theatre, 320 W. 'Southern Strategy' talk

Angie Maxwell, co-author of The Long Southern Strategy, director of the Diane D. Blair Center of Southern Politics and Society and a faculty member at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, talks about "The Long Southern Strategy: How Chasing White Votes in the South Changed American Politics," 6:30 p.m. today at the Central Arkansas Library System Main Library, 100 Rock St., Little Rock. 'Speed of Trust'

Author Stephen M.R. Covey, co-founder of CoveyLink and the Franklin Covey Speed of Trust Practice and the son of Stephen M. Covey, author of Seven Habits of Highly Effective People (this year's "Harding Read"), gives a lecture titled "The Speed of Trust," 7:30 p.m. today in Benson Auditorium, Harding University, 201 S. Striking musical

The 1899 New York newsboys strike against the New York World is the focus of the musical Newsies, 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday and Monday and Feb. 28 and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Forum Theatre, 115 E. Library anniversary

The Central Arkansas Library System is celebrating the 110th anniversary of the Feb. 2, 1910, opening of the Little Rock Public Library with a Library Square open house, 1-3 p.m. Saturday in the Galleries at Library Square, inside the Bobby Roberts Library, 401 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock. CALS will also set up displays by the nearby Ron Robinson Theater and the Bookstore at Library Square on River Market Avenue and serve special 110th anniversary refreshments. Admission is free.
