3 surgeons join Washington Regional

Fayetteville Surgical Associates, 3264 N. North Hills Blvd. in Fayetteville, joined Washington Regional Medical System on Jan. 1.

General surgeons Jon Berry, Gareth Eck, Stephen Wood and their staff continue to care for patients at the clinic, which is now called Washington Regional General Surgery Clinic.

Northwest Medical opens training lab

A simulation lab has opened at Northwest Medical Center-Springdale. The Springdale Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting at 10 a.m. Thursday with an open house at 1 p.m. at the center, 609 W. Maple Ave.

The simulation lab was funded by a trauma grant from the Arkansas Department of Health. The lab provides hands-on training for Northwest Health staff members, emergency medical services personnel, first responders and other medical professionals.

Northwest Health job fairs this week

Northwest Health ER will host hiring fairs from 7-9 a.m. and 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at the facility, 1255 S. Shiloh Drive in Fayetteville.

The new facility is scheduled to open in early March. Among the positions being filled are registered nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, medical technologists, CT/X-ray techs and registrars.
