The temporary home of the Arkansas Arts Center became a winter wonderland Dec. 17 during a holiday party for supporters of the museum.

Held at the Riverdale Shopping Center, guests were encouraged to don ugly holiday sweaters, and many did not disappoint.

The night included an ugly sweater competition, holiday art activities, an improv performance by the museum's Children's Theatre staff, libations and nibbles.

The Arts Center is temporarily housed in a former grocery store at 2501 Cantrell Road while the permanent museum is undergoing a $128 million renovation. The permanent museum, in MacArthur Park, is expected to reopen in 2022.
