On Jan. 2, artists of the Clay Studio at Wishing Spring Gallery in Bella Vista presented a check for $10,030 to the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank. The funds were raised during the club's first Empty Bowl fundraiser where seven artists created 500 clay soup bowls, sold them for $20 each during October and November of last year and hosted a soup bowl luncheon at St. Theodore's Church on Nov. 14. The artists' intent was to raise $10,000 for the hungry of Northwest Arkansas, and they are elated that this first effort produced more than the goal.
