to reopen July 13

The North Little Rock Community Center will reopen July 13 with restrictions, Parks and Recreation officials announced Wednesday.

The center will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, according to a news release.

The fitness center will be closed, but the facility will be open for rentals and for members only.

No day passes are being sold at this time.

Skill-building aim

of library classes

The William F. Laman Public Library System is offering Learning Express Library through the Arkansas State Library's Traveler Database, library officials announced last week.

Learning Express provides academic skill-building classes for all ages, standardized test preparation and job search resources, according to a news release. Some of the test preparation modules cover the ACT, SAT, GRE and more.

Food truck event

set for July 17-19

A carnival food to-go event will be held at the North Shore Riverwalk Park this month, Parks and Recreation officials announced Wednesday.

Various food trucks will be set up July 17-19 in the park at 250 S. Locust St.

The event will adhere to Arkansas Department of Health guidelines.

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. July 17-18, and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 19.
