Police: Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

A Little Rock man was arrested Saturday afternoon on drug charges after a traffic stop on Patterson Road, according to an arrest report.

Little Rock officers pulled over a vehicle driven by Charles Brown, 27, at 6500 Patterson Road about 3 p.m., the report said.

The vehicle had defective taillights, and the driver could not provide proof of insurance, the report said.

In the vehicle, police found glass pipes, plastic bags, scales, a bag containing methamphetamine, a stolen firearm, a stolen debit card and marijuana, according to the report.

Brown was arrested and taken to the Pulaski County jail, where he was being held in lieu of bond.

He is charged with felony simultaneous possession of drugs and a firearm, felony possession of firearms by certain persons, felony possession of methamphetamine with purpose, felony possession of marijuana with purpose, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, two felony counts of theft of property, misdemeanor driving without a licence, misdemeanor driving without insurance and misdemeanor driving with a broken taillight.
