Michelle Oglesby, incoming president of the Sherwood Rotary Club, was presented with the Rotarian of the Year award at an installation celebration dinner held June 23 at Sherwood Forest.

There, they mingled safely and enjoyed a barbecue buffet served by Smoke'n Joe Box in North Little Rock. The program, called to order by outgoing President and Sherwood Mayor Virginia Young, began with the usual Rotary Club formalities, including recitation of the Four-Way Test -- "Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?" -- and this particular club's fifth question: "Is it fun?"
The bulk of the program involved the presentation of numerous awards and tokens of appreciation, along with Oglesby's award and new-president remarks.
The founder of adoption agency An Angel's Choice, Oglesby is the Rotary Club of Sherwood's first Black president.
