Designer House tours

Public tours continue through July 19 at the 25th Arkansas Symphony Designer House, Belle Maison, 21509 Denny Road, Little Rock, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday, closed July 4-5 (Independence Day weekend). More than 30 area designers worked on the two houses on the 40-acre estate. Health Department guidelines will be in effect, including limits on the number of visitors, who will be required to wear face masks and maintain proper social distancing. Disney musical

Jonesboro's Foundation of Arts' Young Artist Theatre will stage Disney's Descendants the Musical! (music adapted by Madeline Smith, additional lyrics and book by Nick Blaemire, based on the Disney Channel Descendants movies, 7:30 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday-Sunday at the Forum, 115 E. Monroe Ave., Jonesboro.

The production is the culmination of a June vocal/dance/acting technique camp. Tickets are $12, $8 for children 12 and younger, senior citizens, military and Arkansas State University students, staff and faculty. Call (870) 935-2726 or visit foajonesboro.org.

'Jonesboro's Got Talent'

June 30 is the deadline for singers and dancers, solos and duets, to register for the Foundation of Arts' "Jonesboro's Got Talent" competition, 6:30 p.m. Aug. 4 and 6 at Rotary Centennial Plaza, Monroe Avenue and Church Street, Jonesboro. Competition will result in two winners in each age division ⁠— ages 9-14 and 15 and older⁠ — with preliminaries at 6:30 p.m. July 7 and 9, respectively.

Audience members will support performers with $1 votes; a panel of professional judges, including recent The Voice contestants Cory Jackson and Marybeth Byrd, will select favorites based on "specific predetermined criteria," according to a news release. Grand prize winners will receive a coaching session with judges and the chance to be the opening act for foundation production. There is a $20 entry fee.
