With the coronavirus forcing the cancellation of concerts and large audiences, musicians are finding other ways to perform and interact with their fans, including bluesman Bobby Rush.
Rush, an 83-year-old musician who was born in Homer, La., and raised in Pine Bluff from 1947 to 1953, when his family moved to Chicago, gave a free livestreamed concert from his home in Jackson, Miss., on Facebook Live Tuesday afternoon. He is a frequent performer in Arkansas, particularly Pine Bluff.

On Friday, he had planned to be back on his @bobbyrushbluesman Facebook Live page -- this time for a question-and-answer session for the 12 p.m. lunch hour crowd, with participants sending in questions in advance. It was postponed, but he plans to reschedule it at a later date.
Rush is a member of the Blues Hall of Fame. He won a Grammy award for best traditional blues album in 2017 for Porcupine Meat, and had his first gold record in 1971 with the song "Chicken Heads."
