TEXARKANA -- The National Weather Service in Shreveport, La., confirmed nine tornadoes touched down in this area during Saturday night's outbreak.
One captured on video was over Lake Wright Patman. A tornado of unknown strength moved over Lake Wright Patman as a waterspout with no damage reported on the shores of Cass and Bowie counties, according to a summary from the weather service.
The tornado was documented on video by a game warden.
Since no damage could be surveyed, an EF scale rating couldn't be assigned for the tornado, according to weather service.
The tornado that caused damage northeast of Leary in Bowie County was an EF1, according to the weather service. It had estimated peak wind of 95 mph.
The tornado was caught on a smartphone camera crossing from Clem Ranch and moving adjacent to a pond. The tornado tore portions of the roof off a single-family home and topped off the trunks of two trees before lifting, according to the weather service summary.
Another EF 1 touched down east of Texarkana in Miller County. This tornado had peak wind of 100 mph.
The tornado first touched down along Miller County 21 and Miller County 116 where it uprooted trees and snapped the wooden pole of the electrical line. It continued on to cross Arkansas 296, downing large limbs. Before the tornado lifted, it ripped off the shingles and destroyed the carport of a single-family home.
Another tornado northwest of Tom in McCurtain County, Okla., had estimated peak wind of 70 mph.
The EF0 tornado briefly touched down and downed a couple of small trees and large tree branches.
Shortly before the tornado that hit Tom, a tornado of unknown strength touched down southwest of Foreman, Ark., in Little River County. Storm spotters shared pictures of a tornado touching down in an open field area. The tornado caused no damage from which the weather service could assign an EF-scale rating.
Other tornadoes, classified as EF1 or EF0, touched down west of Fulton in Hempstead County, near Blevins in Hempstead County, northwest of Waldo in Columbia County and southeast of Bodcaw in Nevada County.
No injuries were reported.
