BENTONVILLE -- Construction and rock blasting to build the Bella Vista Bypass interchange with U.S. 71B/North Walton Boulevard requires lane closings, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation officials.
Crews will alternately close northbound and southbound lanes between Exit 93 and Peach Orchard Road, weather permitting. Flagging operations, signs and police enforcement will be used during overnight hours Monday through Friday. The closings will begin at 8 p.m. and end by 7 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m Friday.
Crews will do rock blasting operations between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through June 12. During the blasting, crews will temporarily stop traffic for up to 15 minutes as a safety precaution in the area of the roundabout on Interstate 49, Arkansas 549/Bella Vista Bypass, and Walton Boulevard.
