A small group of supporters of the 20th Century Club got together Oct. 22 for a fall luncheon at YaYas Euro Bistro.

The intimate crowd met in a party room at the restaurant to celebrate their support of the Hope Lodge. Founded in 1941, the 20th Century Club was created to promote the war effort by volunteering to assist the Red Cross and USO in making bandages, clothing and food items.

In 1964, the Club turned all its efforts toward cancer-related projects. In 1984, the club bought a house in the Quapaw Quarter District of Little Rock to provide lodging for cancer patients. The club sold the house in 2005 and opened its current Hope Lodge in 2011.
