An unidentified man was killed Saturday afternoon in Craighead County when his motorcycle was struck from behind on Arkansas 18, according to a preliminary fatality report by Arkansas State Police.

The 63-year-old motorcyclist was hit by a 1996 Dodge Charger, causing him to lay the motorcycle down and slide to the shoulder, the report said. He was pronounced deat at NEA Baptist Hospital.

A 74-year-old Little Rock woman was killed Friday in a two-car crash on U.S. 167 in Saline County, according to a state police reporty.

Vernell Plunkett was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox in Hensley about 2:20 p.m. when she attempted to make a left turn and crossed into the path of a 2020 Jeep Cherokee, striking the Jeep head-on, according to the report. Joby Plunkett, 47, a passenger in the Chevrolet, was injured.

About 1:30 a.m. Friday, 35-year-old Kayla Nanney Tarlton of Paragould died when the 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe she was riding in failed to stop at a stop sign in Craighead County and crashed into a ditch, a state police report said.

Darrell Couch, 40, of Jonesboro, the driver of the Tahoe, was injured in the crash, which happened at the intersection of Craighead county roads 304 and 307, the report said.
