POCAHONTAS 36, LAMAR 6

POCAHONTAS -- Quarterback Dawson Chester threw three touchdown passes to Michael Martens, leading Pocahontas (9-2) over Lamar (5-5).

Connor Baker opened the scoring for Pocahontas with a 25-yard touchdown run. Later in the first quarter, the Redskins extended their lead to 12-0 on Martens' 70-yard touchdown run.

Pocahontas broke the game open in the second quarter, taking a 30-0 lead into halftime after Chester threw two touchdown passes to Martens and scored on a 65-yard run.

Chester and Martens connected on a 9-yard score in the third quarter.

Lamar closed the scoring with a touchdown pass from Landon Harrison to Mat Higby in the fourth quarter.
