3-car crash, big-rig collision kill 2 drivers

A Danville man died Tuesday in a three-car wreck on Mill Creek Road in Pope County.

Michael Leonard, 29, was driving south around 1:28 p.m. when a northbound 2018 Chrysler began to turn left onto Fairview Drive in front of Leonard's 2009 Suzuki, according to a report from the Arkansas State Police.

Leonard attempted to apply the brakes before sideswiping the Chrysler, and the Suzuki then traveled into the northbound lane where it struck a 2001 Toyota head-on, the report states.

Conditions were cloudy and the road was dry.
