Drug charges filed after traffic stop

A Little Rock man was arrested in North Little Rock after marijuana reportedly was found in his vehicle during a Wednesday afternoon traffic stop, according to a report.

An officer stopped a vehicle driven by Phil Johnson, 37, for careless driving just after 3 p.m. and noticed the smell of marijuana wafting from the vehicle, the report said.

A search found a half-pound of marijuana, plastic bags and a digital scale, which Johnson claimed ownership of, according to the report.

Johnson was taken to the Pulaski County jail and charged with felony possession of marijuana and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held without bail.
