We all have something -- or somewhere -- that fires up the serotonin just by holding it or seeing it: the woods where you grew up playing hide and seek, a Barbie doll collection that dates back to the 1950s, a cabinet full of your mother's old copper cookie cutters, the room in your house that makes you feel the most peaceful. "My Favorite Things" invites Northwest Arkansans to share those special things or places that brings them joy.

In today's feature, Greta Allendorf and Bartus Taylor invite us into their homes to share their favorite spaces. Allendorf, who shows off her amazing dome home, is co-owner of one of Fayetteville's favorite stores, Cheap Thrills. The store has been selling used and vintage clothing and costumes for more than three decades. Taylor has owned and operated the chic event company Buzz Events for a decade; take a peek at the firm's website to see the gorgeous weddings and corporate events Taylor has produced.

My favorite space is: my home, especially the living room!

Why? When I moved in, I was very particular about what I brought to my new house. Everything in this room is something that makes me happy. I also love color, if you can't tell.

I'm always looking to add: Oddities or super soft pillows/throws.

If I could change one thing about it: It would stay clean all of the time.

The item in this space that I love the most is: The 'spirit jug' my friend Harriet just got me for my birthday. I like to think it's a resting place for all my dead loved ones.

The item in this space that I use the most is: My leather reading chair.

The comment I hear most often about this space is: There's so much to look at.

The object in this space I have the strongest emotional tie to is: I'm a Cancer. I'm attached to all of it.

My favorite space is: my apartment.

Why? After looking at least seven other properties, I finally found one that was exactly what I needed. It felt like I had lived there before or maybe it was just deja vu, but it is perfect for me.

If I could change one thing about it: It would be to have the opportunity to actually buy it. That is how perfect it is.

My favorite item in my apartment is: My settee. Seven years ago, I went into HomeGoods with the intention of buying a set of glassware and leaving, but as I walked in, for some reason which I cannot explain, I was drawn to it. However, little did I know, it would later become part of my transition into a new life, and it brings me much comfort. It's funny because it is the only place I find myself either sitting or laying when I am at home.

The item I can't do without is: My washer and dryer. With the many changes I had to make, this was a habit that I could never part ways with as washing, drying and ironing clothes will always be something that I enjoy and acts as my escape.

The comment I hear most often is that it does not look like any other regular apartment but more like an actual home, which was my idea when decorating.
