The House passed Legislation Wednesday that would allow group therapy sessions to be conducted over telemedicine.
House Bill 1068, by Rep. Aaron Pilkington, R-Knoxville, adds a sentence to the state’s telemedicine codes clarifying that health-care providers can use telemedicine to “perform group meetings for health-care services, including group therapy.”
The bill attracted no opposition in the House, and passed by a vote of 97-0. HB1068 now heads to the Senate.
