Construction in the Interstate 30 corridor through downtown Little Rock and North Little Rock will require lane closings and a detour this week, according to the Arkansas Department of Transportation.

The following travel impacts will take place, weather permitting:

• The right lane on I-30 westbound will be closed between East Sixth Street and Interstate 630 in Little Rock from 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. each day through Thursday to move concrete barriers. The off-ramp to East Sixth Street will be closed and traffic will detour to Main Street from I-630 to access downtown.

• A double-right lane closing on Interstate 40 westbound between North Hills Boulevard and I-30 in North Little Rock will take place from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 5:30 a.m. Thursday for pavement repairs. The entrance ramp to I-40 westbound from North Hills Boulevard will remain open.

Traffic will be controlled by construction barrels and signs, the department said. A long-term and permanent travel impact interactive map is available at 30Crossing.com, along with other project information.
