Keystone pipeline resolution tabled
Pulaski County Quorum Court members tabled a resolution criticizing President Joseph Biden for rescinding the Keystone pipeline at their agenda meeting Tuesday.
The vote to table the issue was 9-5.
Justice of the Peace Phil Stowers, who sponsored the resolution, said the project's cancellation had adverse effects on the economy and jobs in Pulaski County.
Critics of the resolution said the item was partisan. Justice of the Peace Lillie McMullen said it "takes the tone of a partisan hack."
At the meeting, justices of the peace also approved ordinances allocating grant funds and carryover 2020 funds for other projects.
